Hypnotism can be a wonderful thing and is a popular way to cure a number of phobias and other problems. It is also not as difficult as a great number of people seem to think. There are some prerequisites, however. Firstly, there should be trust between the person to be hypnotized and the hypnotist. This is the most essential element. Faith and an open mind are also important. Following is an introduction on how to hypnotize someone quickly and with minimal effort.
To start with, the person being hypnotised must be dressed comfortably and lying down in a pose that they feel best with. They should relax as much as possible before the process can begin.
The hypnotist should then tell the individual to imagine himself calming down. The muscles need to be relaxed and breathing should slow right down. This process can take some time and patience is essential in order to achieve some kind of a state of trance. The individual should also give you a sign when they are feeling completely relaxed and this sign should be discussed beforehand. Ideally it should be something simple such as a raise of a finger rather than spoken words.
The individual should then focus on breathing slowly, getting more used to it and feeling more relaxed. Once this is achieved, the individual should be told to focus the mind on something very specific while entirely block out everything else. This requires an ability of control. The hypnotist should speak softly and choose every word with care. The reason for the hypnotisation should be thoroughly discussed before hand, whether it is to deal with a phobia or to remember past events or any other reason.
When the hypnosis session has ended, the individual should be slowly bought back out of the trance. Coming back to a regular level of awareness should be done with care.
